“Applicious” I don’t know if any of you have had the opportunity to watch the TV series ”Jerseylicious”,  but in the hairdressing world it’s definitely entertaining to watch. The show consists of two hairstylist. They despise each other and have dated the same boyfriend. Add the fake nails, very tan skin, lots of makeup and long hair that has lots of volume and luscious curls and you get-Jerseylicious.  At Grassroots we thought it would be fun to replicate these hairstyles but with a little more conservative edge that is wearable and of course, without all the drama. Have you ever wondered what you would look like if your hair, make-up, and wardrobe was professionally done-up for you to attend a Vegas show or to be a performer in a dramatic Broadway Show?  Wouldn’t it be fun to feel like a little girl again, playing dress-up, pretending to be a movie star?

A few of us at the salon for fun decided to give it a try.  It is amazing how Scott transformed us from our original selfs to looking like a totally different person.  We felt a little nervous at first but once “Scott’s Magic” began it was so much fun.  Tracey remembers looking at herself for the first time after the transformation.  She states, “I felt like a whole new person, I didn’t even recognize myself.  My full lashes, lips, and wearing different wigs made me giggle.”

But you don’t have to put on false eye-lashes, a hair piece, and heavy make-up to change a subtle but noticable aspect of your look.  Scott has discovered that changing the shape and light or darkness of your eyebrows is a feature that can easily be changed.  Also he strongly believes that a great hairstyle and hair color that compliments your features is a must in achieving your overall look.  Lips are another easy feature to enhance, especially if your top lip isn’t as full as you wish it to be.  By utilizing a lip liner pencil can do wonders to give the illusion of a fuller lip.  Scott suggests using a lip liner that is slightly darker that the shade of your lipstick.

Scott is filled with many more helpful make-up tips.  If you are visiting Grassroots and would like some advice, Scott invites you to ask him any questions you may have.  He loves giving beauty advice.  Who knows, maybe he will even start his own Ladies Night of make-up transformations and dressing-up.  Wouldn’t that be fun?!
