About The Photographer
I am a 20-year-old photography student and Minneapolis Community and Technical College in Minneapolis, MN. I am an Appleton native. My photography started when I was about 11 years old. I remember my first time really taking more artistic photographs. I was at my families hunting camp with my mom and grandpa and they took me to a small pond and in hand I had my mom’s little Powershot camera. It was fall and the beauty of nature surrounded me. There was a fog on the ground and over the pond, the trees where so colorful. My grandpa, who is always taking pictures, is someone who really taught me the basics on that fall day. Ever since that day, I have greatly enjoyed taking photographs of nature and invested in a much better camera. Camping in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula brought out my love for photographing nature since I love being out in nature so much. As I am learning more and more about photography in school, my photographs are growing and so is my knowledge of other types of photography. I have been venturing out into other forms of photography such as portrait and studio. My dream is to be a National Geographic photographer traveling the world and capturing moments in life that will live on forever because of that photograph. I want to tell stories and open peoples minds about the beauty of the world with my photography.
