The Grassroots artist for the next few months is Richard Bauer, from Appleton, WI. Richard will be featuring his photography in our salon. Here is his story:
Richard Bauer has been “capturing moments in time” since 2009, when he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease at the age of 54. For Richard, who also lives with Bipolar Disorder, photography is a mindfulness practice, during which he captures, not only a moment in time, but a moment in his own existence.
Each photo reflects who he is, and he is thrilled to touch and to move those who enjoy his art. Each day is a gift, as Richard knows the day will come when Parkinson’s will take from him this gift….the gift of creative expression through which he moves out of black and white, and into the “gray” where life really gets interesting. Richard shares, “All of me is in every shot I take.”
Come on in to Grassroots and experience these wonderful gifts that Richard has to offer…
