The Sightseeing in New York City

October 24-28th Stylist Dawn Vosters, Tracey Drews, and Eric went to New York City to attend a three day hands-on extensive haircutting and hair coloring program at the Redken Exchange located on 5th Avenue in the heart of the city.  The 1st day they shopped till they dropped:  Soho, Noho, and Greenwich Village.  Mostly all on foot and Eric maneuvered there way through the subways.  The 2nd day they  ventured to Chinatown.  Dawn and Tracey purchased a knock-off purse and that has a story within itself, quite adventurous and thrilling.  You’ll have to ask them about it. After that they walked the Brooklyn Bridge, it was a beautiful day with 62 degree weather.  Ate lunch in Brooklyn and that evening went on a boat cruise that went under the bridges of New York, told the history, and went passed the Statue of Liberty.  They were quite moved by her and were surprised of the reaction they had toward  this beautiful statue and the what she represents.  Even in a concrete jungle, with over-crowdedness there is still the beauty of it’s architect, amazing tall structures and diversity of wonderful people; deep-rooted in history of who we are- New York City.  We will follow-up this story with future blogs of our Hair Class and the styles of clothing trends.
