Shout-Out of Grassroots a Salon from Your Virtual Assistant

Posted in: Business Shout-Outsblog by Michelle Mangen on July 2, 2009

I happened across Grassroots A Salon in the most accidental way. Several months ago a Colorado gentleman known as @Kalalea on Twitter had started following me on Twitter as himself and his lovely wife, @debsoul, were going to be moving back to the Appleton, WI area.

Through conversation (and I really have no idea how it came up) I found out that he has strong ties with Grassroots. Ever since moving to Neenah from Milwaukee I had not found “my” hair stylist yet and of course, when I was referred to Tracey at Grassroots I decided to give her a shot at taming my hair.

Before I even stepped into the door I was impressed as they called the day prior to my appointment to remind me of the scheduled time. Once I got to the salon I was immediately greeted and offered something to drink. It’s a charmingly decorated space with very soothing colors and a spacious seating area.

I’ve never had so much fun while getting my hair done and during the course of conversation it was discovered that I went to high school and was friends with Tracey’s younger sister.

Of course, I have found “my” stylist and almost feel like family now when I visit. Of course, I am sure that Tracey would advise me to come more often but I’ve never really been one of those girls who gets their hair cut every 6-8 weeks. I’m a minimalist at best when it comes to hair!

Conveniently located on the outskirts of Downtown Appleton on College Avenue.

It’s an amazing salon and I am grateful to @Kalalea and @DebSoul for making the connection.

Thank you Michelle for the wonderful post. I am grateful for the opportunity to meet you and enjoy our time together (us small town girls have to stick together). I feel honored to be granted the title of “my” hairstylist and am honored to have you as “my” client. I am thoroughly looking forward to growing a stronger, lasting relationship and building further connections.  Tracey Drews
